About Richard Agemo

Richard Agemo is a Washington, D.C-based writer and attorney. His short fiction has appeared in New Ghost Stories (The Fiction Desk) and other publications.

A longtime student of the Shakespeare Authorship Question, he writes about how Shakespeare’s plays reflect the people and politics of the Elizabethan era, exploring the intersection of literature, power, and concealed identity.

He enjoys exploring Washington’s museums and attending Shakespeare productions, whose plays continue to inspire his work.

His historical novel Shakespeare Rex is a secret history in which a hidden relationship between Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth I gives rise to a claim to the English throne. The novel is currently being submitted to literary agents.
